Yes.....It is definitely winter!

    So cold! I just wanted to give you a little pep talk. I know, its freezing outside. No one in their right mind wants to go out and walk/run when it is below freezing out (except for you Rocco!). If you know that is the only way you will get your exercise, then plan ahead. Check the weather. Figure out when you would be able to get outside, and check the temperatures for those times. If you talk your brian into the fact that you are going out at the warmest time possible, it will get you through that hardest part...taking those first steps outside. 
     If you are in no way considering going outside during this ice age, then consider this....you all have a gym membership. Look down at your wrist, tell yourself you need to do it for you, and then get your behind in the car (of course, warm it up first...haha)! 15 minutes at the gym will be much better for you than none. Better yet, you wont feel guilty for not exercising at all. Dont let you beat yourself during this winter season. Exercising will also release those chemicals that help you get yourself in the right state of mind during this winter season. Stay healthy, stay warm, and above all....STAY POSITIVE!

I couldnt do the gym or outside today so i let my son pick out a workout dvd for us to do instead of watching cartoons together!! he was a great partner and i'm super impressed he stayed the whole 40 minutes!!

That is awesome Shannon!! What a way to get your son involved & I am sure he had a great time working out with you. And by letting him pick out the dvd, he really felt a part of it. I think leading by example is so much more powerful than lecturing. I can see the difference in the way my son eats just by being at home & growing up with an overweight mom that worked her butt off to lose the weight that I did lose.

thank you!! I have been so blessed joining this group. I was definetly in a rut not enjoying anything in my life . but so much has changed in just a few weeks having energy is sooo amazing!!! and having fun with the kiddies is the greatest feeling too!Havent seen much action from the scale lol but i can honestly say we are all much happier

Went this morning 5-6 a.m. Actually the air felt good (kill those germs). If you dress warm, it is doable. Don't let the cold air scare you! Helps to know you have a walking partner that is out there waiting for you.....

Great job Amy! I am SO thankful for the gym in weather like this. I'm always freezing in this weather when not working out, very grateful not to have to go outdoors to get my workout in.

Thanks Kerri for putting it in a better perspective. "15min at the gym is better than nothing". I like that. I get overwhelmed with time constraints of everything I have to do. So I am going to make that committment on the days that I do not take class - just 15min. That clicks for me. Thanks.

Maybe the DF gang could do an afternoon of ice skating! Fresh air & a work out. I'm terrible on the ice but just trying to stay standing is a leg work out! Lol
