Those evil grains!

    I am sure you werent able to "digest", pun intended, all the things I talked about yesterday in reference to why grains are bad for our bodies. I figured I would share some of the better sites i viewed for information. Remember, you are doing this for a reason, for you, for your families, to become a healthier you. You shouldnt have to explain yourself to anyone. However, just in case you do, theres nothing wrong with coming back at them with a little ammunition!

Thank you for the websites, learning to eat Paleo can be overwhing as well as understanding why it makes a diffence. I also agree that the more I understand the ammunition I have to come back on the comments people may say. Since I have been cooking "Paleo" I have often looked at my family cookbook with traditions of recipes that are so good! But I also have generations of pictures with the ladies having a big belly and being overweight so I just figure it's in my DNA what can I do??? Well I refuse to live like this, I am overweight & it's very uncomfortable so I researched gyms and came across this program -- I am so glad I did, I am not only excercising but I am learning to live a healthier life and maybe it's time to start a new cookbook of traditions along with new pictures of a healthier change---a lifelong change. Thank You to the coaches for all the work your putting into this program. I really appreciate it as I'm sure many of us do! ;)

Tanya, I like the idea of starting a new cookbook. My family cookbook is full of comfort food also. Also, the women in my family were large and never exercised. I think we were taught to think of food as comfort instead of sustenance. How wrong! We were also taught that whole grains are so much better for you and perfectly fine to eat. Now that we know that grains are not good for you, we can pass that new information on to our children. I bought the paleo book and have educated myself about the science behind paleo, which helps a lot. Thanks, Ryan, for reinforcing it on Saturday.

I too like the idea of a new cookbook. DF 1st Paelo cookbook. OMG Kerri there are so many new avenues for your business...... but in all seriousness, I think a lot of people would be interested in this, and believe it has been tossed around before.

I need new food ideas. I make chicken & eat it for 3 meals. Yesterday I made deer burgers smothered in mushrooms, onions & peppers, so I had it again today. I like salads too but.... Variety is key! Guess I'm not to creative! I go to the gym after work so at 7 :15 when I get home I'm starved. I need a fast recipe I can stick in the oven while I'm in the shower!
