With a new start comes the need for new motivation. How are you going to keep yourself motivated and not become complacent. Set new goals, thats how! What are some of your new goals for the next seven weeks? Are they totally new? Are they an extension of some of the goals you set for the first session? Let us know! Help inspire others!

My daughter asked if we can complete the 5k together so thats goal # 1 in our new start! Goal #2 I still have alot of other boxes to step out of so working on achieving those challenges daily. Still at 29 i have a fear of crossing busy streets(no way you will catch me walking across delaware to get to the gym lol). Goal #3 having more fun and less stressing over minor things. so yesterday i took my kids for a walk in the rain instead of staying inside. I would love to commit to more classes but am having a hard time schedueling them in. so trying to find ways to take part in them is my #4 goal!!

Those are some awesome goals. The best is that they, although tough, are attainable! So proud of how far you have come, and in less than 2 months! Keep up the great work.

After years at the gym I still back away from new things. Saturdays cross train class I watched every one try the box- ring push ups. Nope, couldn't try it! Embarressed knowing I couldn't do it. Ughhhhh MUST get over this. One of many New goals added To the list.

Kim!!! "Embarrassed knowing you couldn't do it"???? I'm so glad you are acknowledging that this is negative, self-sabotaging thinking!!! First: you don't know you can't bc you never tried! Second: it's ok to fail, and to fail in front of others! Failing is good bc it means you are stepping beyond your comfort into the unknown: potentially opening many new avenues! It helps you to set new mini goals! It shows you are confident by trying , and also that you aren't perfect as none of us are!! We all have strengths and weaknesses!!! If you always let the fear of the unknown win, if you never try bc you aren't already perfect at something, you will never get "un-stuck!" It's even more rewarding when you first fail and continue to try until one chance you succeed!!!

I agree !for the life of me i couldnt figure out that sit and switch thing(i think thats what its called) couldnt balance that darn ball on my legs and my cordination sucked so on my alone days at the gym i keep practicing them and now I can say my many failing attempts have turned into success!! who would think these little things would make me so happy!!!

1. I want to have more visible abs. This must sound incredibly vain for a mom of 3 with extra skin that could probably be chopped off & donated to science, but this is one "appearance" thing that just seems so totally out of reach and will only be accomplished with hard work and clean eating.

2. I want to ENJOY running!! I have been trying to embrace it and do it more than once a week. Forced myself to get past the fear of the treadmill (I saw a horrific treadmill injury on a small child while volunteering as an EMT - it needed skin grafting), and am running on it as much as I can make myself.

3. I want to be able to kip & also do strict pullups. Have been working on this for almost a year. Just not quite there yet.

4. Not that the time will suit or I'd ever be invited, but I'd like to be fit enough and agile enough to do a 5 o'clock level of class without being the "slow and stupid one" who needs to modify all the exercises. (Yes that is negative, ugh sorry)

5. Still need to learn to swim properly. I'm terrified of deeper water and if I ever hope to try a tri, I will need this obviously!

I am very excited for the next 7 weeks... My goals for the first week were mostly related to weight loss, but now my goals have changed... I obviously want to remain at the current weight but I am more concerned about changing my appearance and that obviously comes with dedication and hard work... So one of my goals is to push harder in every class and give 110%.... My next goal is to run more and get involved with the run groups.... These are my little goals that lead to two main goals which are to run the 5k and possibly the half and my other main goal is to make the 5 pm class... I know if I work hard, continue to eat right, and stay positive then I will be able to accomplish these goals and more!!! Positive IS Powerful!!!!

my goal is to stick with this lifestyle for 7 more weeks and then 7 more weeks after that and then 7 more weeks after that and etc. Another goal is to try swimming with Kerri's swim club this summer. Another goal is to try to enjoy running(is that really possible?).
I was so bummed that I was away and missed the last meeting, I have to say that the meetings were/are my favorite part of the whole challenge.I am very happy and excited for the next 7!!!!!

I agree with you Ann, the Saturday early morning meetings are the best, they get me through the entire week. Last week was a weak week for me, no meeting and those tempting carbs made it to my lips. But this is another week, time to start again.
