Just Look at it!

I fond myself in situations, some that I put myself in, some that i don't, where I have a choice to make. Give in to the desires, or be strong and keep on the path that we are all trying so hard to stay on. I look down at my wrist, and there it is! I can make up my mind by looking at a bracelet!
Please share stories where the bracelet may have saved you from making the wrong decisions. So looking forward to hearing from you!

Friday night, my bracelet saved me! As I mentioned when we talked about not eating for hours and hours, Friday was one of those days. I got the kids off with their dad and looked forward to meeting a friend who was going to treat me to a steak dinner! SOO excited.

Until I came back home and there was no heat. Which started about a 4-hour ordeal of calling the oil company, learning the line from the tank froze, crawling around with a torch in the freezing cold outside & in my basement, running to Lowe's right before closing, buying & dumping kerosene into the tank to help prevent issues, etc. It was 11 p.m. and I was upset over inconveniencing half my family and friends, upset because now steak was completely out of the question, and I hightailed it to the 24-hour diner prepared to get a huge plate of fries.

But my hands were still stinky from the kerosene and I wanted to go into the bathroom to wash them before ordering. I looked into the mirror and realized I looked like I slept in a dumpster, ugh. But then I looked down and saw "Positive is Powerful."

It forced me to smile :) I marched back out and ordered broiled shrimp, a salad, and some broccoli. Drank unsweetened iced tea. I felt great after eating instead of bloated and guilty. Went home and packed up for Saturday's meeting and workouts.

Thank you bracelet!!!

Wow Karen! You truly amaze me. Whenever I see you you have a smile on your face and your enthusiasm is contagious! Thank you! My bracelet has magical powers too ! It makes me do things I wouldn't normally do or it keeps me from doing things that I shouldn't.

Thank you so much for your kindness Ann, my "Sweat Sister." I can't think of anyone else I'd rather share "buddy planks" with. The stuff we do at class still continues to amaze me, and I'd never be this far without people, especially you, explaining and teaching me so much over the past yr and a half!

So I worked crazy crazy hours last week. I'm orienting to a new part time job so I have been taking up all my free time with that. So the next couple months I am working like 6 days a week. Well my full time job is the hardest for me to keep on track eating (well only when we are getting calls and I'm not back to eat). I worked 24 hours on Saturday and spent most of it flying. It was hard to keep on track but I did the best I can. My partner had asked me to eat at the diner next door for breakfast (which I happen to find the easiest to eat Paleo at restaurants). I ate my food I brought most of the rest of the day. We had a call overnight and I was awake from 1AM until 5AM. Belly growling for most of it. I went to the diner again that morning because I was out of food and needed something. The smells coming from there were amazing (french toast, syrup), all making me think I wanted those items. And then I look at my wrist and think, no way. I feel too good. I want this and I won't give in. I bought an omelet & bacon. They gave me homefries which I didn't ask for, but most definitely got off my plate as soon as it arrived.

I feel full most of the time, and don't have a ton of cravings. I was disappointed that I missed the meeting Saturday because of work. The hubby brought me home a Larabar to try. OMG they are amazing! We are ordering a bunch. And I will be keeping them stashed in my flight suit to use in case of emergency, like the other night. They are just the little amount of sweet I sometimes want!

Nikki, So very proud of you! I got tired reading all the things you do. You rock girl, keep up the great job that you are doing.
I missed you at the meeting too. Good thing that you have your hubby and the "bracelet" looking out for you.

I agree Ann!!! I get so upset when I have sleeves on that cover it. This bracelet is my BEST accessory!

Well this morning, my alarm didn't go off and I got up at 7:05. thought to myself, I missed the challenge meeting....should I stay in bed or get up and get there no matter what..at least I can get in some of Kerri's pep talk and do a class or two. I looked at my bracelet(wear it all the time) and I thought NO EXCUSES! Got up, made it into the meeting and took 2 classes. I feel so proud of myself that I didn't give up and just stay in bed. I really liked Kerri's message today that we need to move forward and don't concentrate on what you may have done wrong but do the next thing right. I'm real motivated and need to keep this positive attitude going into week 4...boy time does go fast!
